In your experience which is better? {Sony Vegas PRO only}

Upon completion of a project and the output is DVD only.

1. Render to AVI- import to DVDA- and let DVDA convert to MPEG2

OR

2. Render to MPEG2 Vbr 2 pass- import AC3 and MPEG2 into DVDA

Which format gives you the VERY BEST IMAGE quality to DVD? OR is there a better way to do this?

Thanks,

I always render my MPEG2 files in Vegas, using a bit rate calculator to get the video to fit on the DVD, and then using Vbr and 2 pass rendering as suggested by David -- you have a lot more flexibility in your options rendering out of Vegas than you do in DVD architect.
