Hi Guys,

I shot at 1080p. I render it out as PAL uncompressed and the file is bigger than 6 GB!

I need a pal avi or mov with max size of 4.5 GB. How should I do that? I allready tried to play with the decoder as sony, uncompressed etc..

As Mp4 is only 300MB with top quality, but I need avi and pal for the tv.

The clip is only 3 minutes.

Please help.

Thank you

Still no replies? I guess you've sorted it our for yourself by now. But just in case, .avi is an audio/video container for Windows systems, not a TV standard. You can easily create, say an mpeg4/mp3 .avi well under 1GB but it won't play on an ordinary TV system. To keep your resolution, fit on a 4.7 GB disc and play on a HD TV system you will have to burn a Blu-Ray DVD (i.e mpeg2 or mpeg4 for the video at 1080i 25 fps; you'll need to experiment to see if your Blu-Ray player will play Blu-Ray DVDs).

there are a lot of different choises of avi, use canopus HQ codec then you will see how small it will be but still qualit footage...ps. for .mov you can make photo-jpeg codec, it will also make normal size....not so big files...
