.avi files??

hey guys

i dont know where else i could have asked this, so i thought this is the best place.

so i switched to a mac recently, and i have files on my external hard drive that are .avi and i cant watch them.

i downloaded vlc, and when i try to open them it says no codec for hdcf..im guessing that means hidef, cineframe or something like that. (i shoot with an fx1 btw)

i was wondering if their is any other software..or codec for windows media player, or vlc that would make it work.
