.avi file getting no audio

I have an .avi file that plays fine in Windows Media Player (picture and sound), but when I import it into Premiere (CS3) it shows only the video without any audio. Any idea how to get it to work? It's a project that I'm working on for someone else, and this is the only format that they have the file in.

Use G-spot program to open the file and see what audio codec was used. Then see if you can download that codec to be used in CS3.
