Hello all,

i have many file sin the AVCHD mts file format.
now, my computer is not fast enough to handle the compressed AVCHD files and i've alot of trans-coding to an intermediate codec.
People mention CineForm alot and i want to give that a try.
now, the question is...when you setup your sequence, how should the sequence settings work?

should i just drag the file onto the new sequence icon and let it figure it out on its own?

bseides neoscene, what other intermediate codec is good?

Cineform should have its own sequence settings once it is installed. In fact, there is no editing benefit at all unless the footage is edited on a Cineform sequence.

Hello, I've had the same question as the OP. Now what exactly IS a Cineform Sequence? How do you choose a cineform sequence in Premiere CS5? I dragged my conformed files over to my regular AVCHD timeline and it chugged like mud. What settings would I have to change.

I had Cineform NEO when I had my HMC 150 and Vegas Pro 9c.
Now I'm using CS5 and NEO HD but I'm going to guess that it's the same.....

If you guys have Cineform installed, after you start a new project, under the Sequence Presets you'll see an option/folder name “Cineform”.
You can pick 1080i, 1080p, 720p or SD plus the frame rates which will give you a Cineform sequence.
