AVCHD Files for Producer

Hey All,

I have an off-site producer that doesn't have an NLE program. I need our footage logged with TC, scripted etc...
Can someone recommend a software application that will allow the viewing of AVCHD files on a desktop w/ TC?

I have tried VLC player with no luck. The project has 7 hours of raw footage to deal with so I'd like to to just Fed Ex a drive and let him/her have at it.

Thanks on advance!

Panasonic P2 Viewer Plus

This will work with the original sd cards are duplicated on the drive.

Any reason why you just can't send him transcoded footage with a TC window burned in?

Maybe something like RV? http://www.tweaksoftware.com/products/rv

If it were me, though, I'd probably create low res window burn versions for the producer (and charge for it) that have all of the needed information.

Picture TC (assuming that the footage actually does have SMPTE timecode), reel name (which is the folder name these days), shot name (file name), along with audio TC and sound reel.

I'm using FCX.
I have tried the TC generator and it is way to labor intensive to render out. Card to drive 150GB takes no time at all in comparison. I'm on a 2009 iMac quad with 16GB of RAM, using a 4tb GRaid as a scratch disc. FW800 or 3.0 depending.

What system is the producer on? The Panasonic program is available for both windows and mac. It would be best to give him a drive with the card structures copied to it as any long clips can get spanned over multiple files. It should work if the files came from a panasonic camera or not as I think the ACVCHD file structure is a standard but you could test it first to be sure.
