I shot a series of instructional videos. I used the FS700 on internal recording in the AVCHD format. For this particular clip I only need the audio, though I (previously) imported both the audio and video to keep things simple. I'm editing on an iMac using FCPX. There are over 50 clips in this particular AVCHD folder. For some reason, even though clip #42 imported just fine before, when I went back into that project for that clip it showed a broken link. Every time I try to import it, the clip will not show up in the library.
I have two copies of that file on two different Thunderbolt drives, and when I use QuickTime player that particular clip plays perfectly from both of them, but it will not import from either of the saved versions.
I tried to convert it into another type of file using Brorsoft, both H264 and .mov. However, even though it is an 18+ minute clip, Brorsoft only shows about 8 minutes and starts near the middle of the clip. Starting at that point the conversion goes fine.
I have imported and used most of the other clips from this AVCHD file and so far they import and play perfectly.
This clip is kind of critical, as it will be the voiceover narration for the on-screen video. Any suggestions?
