So here is the deal.
Right now I'm trying to import Hi8 (not digital) :zombie_smiley: into Final Cut. I have the A/V out of the hi8 camcorder into the A/V of an A1. The A1 goes via firewire to final cut.
A/V presets are all to DV NTSC in final cut.
In the device capture screen, the hi8 image comes out perfectly on the preview screen. However the problem arises that when i set to capture final cut waits for time code instead of capturing. This is problematic due to there being no time code because it's a/v through the dv.
Is there something I'm missing here?
