Automatic File splitting

Ok, so I have a firestore FS-4. I can connect it to my DVX and capture tapes to .avi file and it splits the video into different files automatically every 10min.

Well, unfortunately my firestore is being stupid.

Any way I can do this in premiere pro? I'd like an automatic file split for every 10min of capture.

Is there any program that does this?

One way to do it (if you are capturing from tape, not recording direct to disk), is to log the tape in 10 minute segments, and then batch capture.

Alternatively, if you already have a lengthy file captured, use subclipping to split it in to ten minute chunks, and then convert the subclips into new master clips.

If, however, you want to record direct to disk, I have no idea how you would go about that without timing yourself, and hitting the record button again every so often.

EDIT: I also know there are several third party programs out there which could probably do it. It's been a while, though, and I can't remember the names.
