Automate Clips in FCP

Hey all

In PPro 2 ,, I used to be able to select any number of clips and 'automate them' on to my sequence,, and even get a cool dialogue with the option to drop them in 'as selected' or sequentially....

Is there any way to do that with FCP ???

I can't seem to find equivelant way to do it within the manual, if there is such a thing in FCP,,,

thnx in advance

You can drag 'n drop however many clips you want from the Browser into the Timeline. Is that what you are talking about?

Noah - 'automate' as I mentioned (in PPro) serves to drag many clips in the order I select them via the control key. it's very cool actually

Adkimery - FCPro will drag many clips but now matter what you do they are placed in the order they appear in the browser,,, you'd have to rearrange them later which defeats the purpose of draging more than one when a particular order is preferred.
The only workaround I could see would be to rename the group of clips so that they are rearranged in the browser, then the group could be dragged in the preferred order.
That's gonna work fine but you gotta admit it almost seems like more work than it's worth. JMO..

I'm thinking (cause I realize you guys are good at FCPro) that this is not something FCPro does.
I'd love to find out someone does know how FCPro can do this but I fear it's just not available. Plzz PM if so...

Meanwhile - AM Gonna write apple and tell'em I'd like to see it in the future update and hope they bite...

Thnx for responses
