Auditions, when to hold them?

In general, is it better to hold auditions on a weekend or weekday? What will yield a greater turnout?

If you are auditioning kids, weekends and evenings. For adults, probably weekends too. Assume they all have jobs or school.

ditto what Dad said and you also might consider letting people video tape their 1st audition and email it to you or upload it on a video site. you could end up with more...possibly. then you could do your call backs in person and save some time if you have to rent a space for the auditions.
