Audition Space in LA

[Dean Bull]

I am currently looking for a space to audition actors in LA. This is going to be an intensive process and require about a month. (16 parts, approx 40-100 canidates per part)

So consider this throwing out a line to the collective for references and advice. I have a bit of cash to spend, but not by LA standards!

Any hidden gems or techniques that any of you seasoned folks have for audition space in LA? Anybody have some space to sublet?

Dean moved this from directing so you might have more luck.

before i started hiring a casting director with her own space, I use to rent out the Hudson Guild Theater on santa monica blvd. did rehearsals there too.

Zak,

thanks for the lead. I just left them a message. Do you know what sort of rates they have and have they been pretty flexible with extended rentals?

this was back in 2004. i honestly don't remember their rate at the time. but yes, i do remember them being very accommodating, although the weekend productions (plays) took priority. which was fine, because i was renting the theater out on weeknights.
