Audio won't render

Hi.

I have my cut all ready to be exported but then I notice the red unrendered bar on top of the timeline here and there. Sequence > Render does absolutely nothing. There are several tracks of audio and I was able to isolate which file causes the problem, but I still don't know what to do about it. When you load it into the viewer it plays fine.

Would appreciate some thoughts/help.

Thanks.

in the sequence tab at the top go tho render all and select all the audio at the bottom. (im not in front of my final cut but im pretty sure its the right way)

Thanks for your input, guys.

As said, rendering does nothing. I tried all of them, render audio, render all, render for playback; all of them. I don't know what option R does. If it's the same as command R, which is a shortcut for render all... I tried it.

I know it's a weird problem. I personally never ran into anything like this, hence me being stumped. And the other odd thing, when I export the project it still beeps during the parts. Weird, huh?

Anyway, keep the ideas coming, guys. I'll take all the help I can get.

I'm facing the same problem rendering audio. When I select the render command, the progress window appears for a split second and disappears. The audio remains unrendered with a red bar over it.

This only happens to audio, as I'm still able to render video.

I shouldn't be low on disk space. I still have 28 gb left and my project is small.

Bump.

I've googled this problem with no solution. When I select any variation of the Render Audio/All commands, the progress bar flickers on screen at 0% then closes. I cannot render any audio regardless of the type (music, dialogue, etc).

Previous projects can play their already existing, rendered audio. Any new audio introduced will not render, regardless.

Currently, I have to export the audio to Soundtrack and export the track as an AIFF to render it. This works, but it's slowing me down.

I'm using FCP HD Express 3.5 on an iMac G4. If this problem persists, I'll have to consider other editing software options.
