audio won't appear on timeline

Hey Friends,

Anyone ever have problems loading audio clips onto the timeline? I've been working on a project all day and out of the blue I can't seem to load any audio into my sequence :zombie_smiley: I would like to say that I've run through all the basics and nothing works, but I'm assuming that it's going to be a head-slapper when I find out what I'm doing wrong. When I click and drag the clip down to the timeline ( or drag it into the canvas/viewer to any of the options ) it simply pushes the playhead line forward as if my audio clip has been loaded but nothing appears in the timeline/sequence. Restarting won't work and I've gone through and made sure all my audio settings on the timeline are the same as I've been using all day. Any ideas for something so silly? Thanks in advance guys and gals.

Could be an issue of tracks or channels. IIRC, mono audio won't drag/drop onto a stereo track and vice-versa. Remember also that there is interleaved stereo and dual-mono stereo. An interleaved stereo track could look like a mono one when viewed in the finder.

It sounds like you've confirmed the file format otherwise (AIFF, BWAV, etc.) so I assume that isn't the issue.
