Audio upmix

When i try to create a WMV file PP 1.5 tells me that i cannot audio upmix. I know what Audio Upmixing is, but i'm not doing it. The wierd thing is that i try it again, and a few attempts later it lets me export. what is going on? anyone else have this problem. I have a mono audio track, a stereo master, and exported stereo. Is this mono screwing me up? I've done mono like this before with out a problem. why now?

I use the Adobe Media Encoder [AME] in PPro2.0 to generate WMV files so it might be a bit different. Unfortunately I'm also not at my NLE so I can't open PPro to give you the precise info.

I had a similar experience until someone explained to me that when in the AME you set the desired video specs then go to the audio tab and there are several options to choose from [this is the part I don't have right in front of me] and in that tab you'll find an option for something like professional 9.1, if you choose that option for example, there are several different encoding bit rates to choose from and you have to choose the correct rate for the type of audio track.

Typically I just edit stereo so I reducced the rate to something like 128kb/48KHz and ever since no problems. I'm not an audio person and I'm sure there's someone here that explain what all the options are for. Also, the easier way to resolve this is to not choose the professional option.

Hope this helps
