Audio Troubles

Hey, my name is Andrew Robinson I am new to Vegas 6.0a, I am good with Raw Footage, said from my friends. I helped edit a couple films, one that I did with a really great friend of mine. The short film is called "The Good Samaritan", and "peace For Granted".

But, here is my question. I like to edit anime stuff, so the current anime I am using is "Dragon Ball Z" I know its not "the cool way". But hey what can ya do? So here is my question finally after all the rambling I have done, when I import the clips in Vegas, they build the peaks, but in the audio department, there is just lines, there is no act of volume in them, the clips are dead silent... and I have no idea how to fix it... to be really honest I don't even know where to look to fix it.

I tried absolutely everything I could think of and still nothing. Like I don't want to fall on using Adobe Premiere 6.0 because I really want to learn how to use Vegas 6.0a.

So, if you could kindly maybe give me some advice or some tips on how to fix this problem, please get back to me. Thanks

Are you importing from a DVD or something? Did you rip this from a DVD? If so, that's your problem right there.

What he was getting is this: if they were .vob files, the audio was probably dones as AC-3, which can't be demuxed with Vegas.

There are other utilities that will properly split out the video and audio from .vob files, and you could then work on them in Vegas.

Ohh okay, so like if I used a different program, that can take Audio and then stick it in Vegas it should be fine? like I just don't understand why it does it, it did the same thing when I used Adobe Premiere 6.0.... but, I had raw footage, the same way and they worked fine, so I just thought using the same method it would work.

I had the samething

I had the samething

I had a movie clip I wanted to add to Vegas and the sound played in very slow speed all I did was take the .vob file into a proram called ImTOO 3gp Video Converter. Change the setting to mp3 and encoded, then imported into Vegas.

Thank you all for your tips and advice, this is what I came up with, the other day I downloaded a application called Audio/Video MP3 Wav Converter, it was only a trial version. But, do I believe in trial verisons? no, I then went on to www.google.ca and found the crack file for this program, so what I did was I made a test, it worked, so then what I did was I took all the clips I have, and converted the audio from the clips, so basically the whole entire episode really, and made it audio. Went back into Vegas, and took out the audio that didn't work. put the audio that did work, rendered all the clips, so now they work.
That is how I did it. Sneaky I know haha. Long process, I know haha.

But, I was wondering how do I update to Vegas 6.0d? it would be really cool to update the version I got now.
