Audio trouble on export

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to export a project to a standard .avi file (File>Export>Movie) & i'm having problems with the audio playback on the clips. I'm using Premiere Pro as well.

In the project there are 2 streams of audio 1. Native sound to the clip & 2. Music over the top. The problem i'm having is with the native sound: when I play the project back in Premiere it sounds fine, but once I've exported it, at points where the audio becomes loud it begins to distort badly. The music played over the top is fine though.

I'm not sure whether it's a poor choice in CODEC or mis-adjusted control settings in my audio - any solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your help!
Shane

I have similar problems more than once.i guess problem is in audioeffects..i used compressor etc.So i made new sequence where my initial sequence was nested with all audio etc effects and then exported audio separately only from this new sequence.whenever U can use wav export or AME to export audio what is u preferred codec is.then i used this audioclip for dvd authoring.

I haven't resolved this same problem since I switched to Ppro form 6.5. It sounds fine when you play the edit on the timeline. But I noticed that although it sounds fine, at points when you see the audio level meter peak on red (in Ppro's mixer), you'll be having clipped audio once you try to export it to an Avi file. I wonder if any audio limiter plugin exists to resolve this? If someone knows, Please let us know.
