audio trouble for cable tv distribution

I just sent a tape to a cable company for distribution. They said the sound was messed up, and would come in and out and maybe working only on one channel. When you master in Premiere Pro is there anything special you should do other than playing back on the timeline and pressing record on the deck. I have sound in several audio channels.
There is a master channel on the bottom of the timeline but I don't know what that is used for.
Any suggestions

Could be any number of things, including a problem at the cable company (the ones around here still use junk equipment and are notorious for screwing up perfectly good video).

First, find out what they expect to receive - what specifications, reference levels. For example, you may need to make sure your levels peak at -20dB and not 0db as in analog delivery.

Having several audio channels shouldn't matter as long as they're feeding the master output which will most likely be 2 channel stereo. By default everything should be going there and if you're hearing it in your monitors, it should end up on tape. After laying it off to tape, play it back. How does it sound? Is everything there? If so, go to the cable company and check it out.

If you have voices, you should put them out both the L and R channels. This is for all the TV's that are not stereo.

I went back and added the voices to both tracks. Simply did a Fll Left effect. The sound is stereo so that shouldn't matter. Taking to cable company is a good idea. Also I use the Panasonic DVX 100 that uses the Wet lub tapes that may gum up a deck. Again, thanks for input.
