How often do you get to report excellent service from a company? I just bought Audio Technica's AT8410a Microphone Shock Mount, and found that I needed an adapter as it was threaded for a conventional 5/8" mic stand, and I needed to put it on a solid 3/8" tip.

Not only was I able to get someone on the phone to recommend my different options for the stand, but when I had a problem they called right back (!) after I left a message to tell me my email question (I'd forgotten I emailed them last night) already had a response, and they'd be happy to send me the adapter for free, and all they needed was the address.

I like that.:thumbup::)

AT has provided me with nothing but outstanding service. Those guys answer emails quickly and their fees are very reasonable.

Their equipment is very, very good, too. Usually a great value for the dollar.

Compared to "free"?
for a dollar I really wouldnt care.
but thats just me.

Im more impressed with the companies out there that
send you a loaner 788T recorder for 2 weeks for free while yours
is having a for FREE update done to it.

I'm impressed when I can get someone on the phone.

As well, I specifically stated I needed to go to a solid 3/8" tip. I'm guessing they'll send me a threaded one that I'll have to drill out, but if they send something that really fits I'll be impressed as I didn't find it online, at Calumet, B+H, anywhere...

I'm suprised that you didn't get a little brass adaptor with the shock mount. Every single mic I have ever bought has come with one.
