Audio Technica System 10 user/owner question

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone with Audio Technica ATW System 10 experience, specifically the
ATW 1102 system with the AC/12v power, had ever run it from a battery, say something like
(TalentCell Rechargeable 72W 132WH 12V/6a, 9V/1A)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016BJCRUO/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A24OIV2F0TL1K3

I was looking at that battery to power my Tascam DR680, and run a wired SM58 for interviews.
I'd love to use my Giant Squid lavs into H2/icd-px820/alesis palmtrack in fanny packs, but there are
too many interviews to be conducted.
A boom with one of my shotguns would be nice, just have to buy the boom, but I'm a one man crew.
Then I thought, blow the budget and maybe get the ATW 1102, used.
It looks like the DR680 takes .5a and the ATW about the same, .6, which is less than the 12v 6A capacity claimed for the battery.

One man crew, I have to be mobile, and its for charity so no real budget.
The battery is a given as I want to make the DR680 mobile in the future.
I'd love to boom it but don't have enough hands.

Just thought that the wireless would be quicker and safer than a 25' wire attached between
the SM58 and DR680.

Sound reasonable? Any other suggestions (I did look at the UHFs around $100, but the ATW 1102
just seems a smarter buy as in buy something better once...)

The camera mount receiver looks great, but its another $100.. and I've already gone
over budget ( 0 ), and its a hobby not a business.

thanks
jim

Never used a Audio Technica ATW System 10, but if it accepts 12V, it 'should' run ok. I have run a 680 on external batteries, with no problems.. (except for power plug getting pulled out.. luckily it switches to internal batteries and the display back light goes out [warning]). I switched to a right-angle coax power plug, which is easier to secure with gaffer tape.
Aside form that, a 58 is not really a good interview mic, but if it's all you got..

RickR,
Thanks for the reply.

For Anybodies Information,
I bought a used AT System 10 handheld and receiver (ATW 1102), and the TalentCell 12V/1100mAh.
Two older eneloop AAs in the handheld, the system receiver and DR680 hooked into the 12v side of the TalentCell
and an AT875R with phantom on input 1 and the system10 on input 3 I ran for 3hrs.
The power indicator had dropped from 4 green leds to 3 when checking.
Recharging to get an idea of recover time.

I also bought the field case for the DR680. I'm thinking of sending it back and maybe
getting a portabrace AR-DR680B. While 2x the price of the Tascam case it looks like
2x the case. Just not sure it'd carry everything (DR680 and TalentCell, and it'd be
nice if it held at least the wireless mic.

thanks
jim

With the PortaBrace, you also have the option of adding the RM Multi when you need more space. Other popular bag choices are from Petrol, K-Tek and Orca.
