audio technica price v. performance?

[John C Lyons]

Hey guys,

I got these quotes from a vendor. Has anyone used any of these mics and accessories? This is my first short I am actually going to TRY and do decent sound (he he). Shooting lots outdoors and also indoors. The price is definitely right, I just need some reassurance this will do me well to get started:

AUDIO TECHNICA AT-815B BOOM MIC $260.00

AUDIO TECHNICA AT-8410A SHOCK MOUNT $40.00

LIGHT WAVE GT-10W BOOM POLE $225.00

A-T rules the roost as far as price vs. performance. I haven't used the 815, but I do have an 835 and it's a great little shotgun for the bux ($239). The 815 is a longer version of the 835, I think.
