Any plug-in transmitter or XLR adapter will work with the AT835B. You could use the Sennheiser Evolution kits with the plug-in transmitter, or you could use the Audio-Technica kits with an XLR->TA5F adapter cable. Neither of those sets supply phantom power, so you'll have to use the 'AA' battery in your mic to power it.
What do you think of the TEchnica AT835b?
Could you compare it to the AKG c1000S? i know the at835b is a shotgun an the c1000s not, but a rough comparison would be very usefull for me as i have to decide between those two.
I have no experience with the AKG. I'd say the AT835 is a solid performer, and when I bought mine (which is several years ago) there was nothing that could touch it as far as price vs. performance. However, that may no longer be current info, I don't know the state of shotgun mic's today.
The AT performs reasonably well, but it was also just $239. You can get a much better mic if you're willing to spend for it.
