Hi all, long time lurker.
I have searched adobe forums and here. I have been fumbling with this problem for hours getting more and more frustrated.
Please help!!
I am trying to import AVCHD footage recorded on an Panny HMC 151 into Premiere Pro CS5. The problem, which I have encountered before, is that the audio on large clips is slightly behind the video. I know this occurs on macs from time to time but I am on a pc. I import the full file structure using the panasonic software supplied to my harddrive. The clips play with no problems in VLC player. I import the whole folder into Premiere using the media browser and not the file/import method. I have tried cleaning the media cache and forcing premiere to conform the clips on import but it still imports out of sync.
I understand that the issue is related to the FAT32 file system on sd cards that cannot make a file bigger than 4 gigs and thus I think it is an issue with how premiere nits the files together. I have searched in vain for the answer for sometime, perhaps I am using the wrong search terms.
I would be grateful for any suggestions or links to a solution,
Best Regards.
