Audio Sync...out of sync feature...

I just upgraded to HD the other day and my settings from 4.1 are gone. No big deal because I wrote them all down before I upgraded. Now I forgot how I locate that Sync tool that I am supposed to use when editing 24p audio. If my memory is correct I think it was located in the Tools menu in the top menu.

Isn't that a plugin you need to manually add? It should be on the FCP install disk in EXTRAS. And you should only need it for the older DVX100. The 100A fixed the prob, yeah?

yea i have the DVX100 not the A and yes I thought that I had to get it from somewhere else and manually add it! Thanks

Do you have to use that audio sync feature all the time with the DVX? I shot on F5 and then did the reverse telecine on Cinema Tools, do I have to use that tool after capture (still 29.97) or after reverse telecine (23.98) Thank.

Sorry, I can't answer that question. I own a DVX100A and they corrected the audio sync problem.

Audio runs independent of the image frame rate. The DVX100 the audio is out 2 frames worth.
(see Adam Wilt's site for details)
Just place the plugin and then run it under tool menu when you have the sequence set up.
