Hi all,
ok, i've read the threads about lavalier mics (god i love reading posts from people who know what they're talking about) and have come to a conclusion (EMW hardwired - i work on my own and want a lapel mic for interviews)... I also have the G2 transmitter which i always thought was just shi*e but it looks like the mic is just shi*e (god i love reading posts from people who know what they're talking about) and wouldn't mind being able to hook the EMW to this unit if wireless is a necessity. Again it seems this can be done by people who know how.
I've tried googling for a store in London that isn't a generic electronics shop on tottenham court road (such as the one who sold me the G2 and didn't tell me the mic was shi*e) but.... google has failed me. Does anyone know of a store in London where i can go and get good advice, sort out my needs, and be happy? Have Oyster card, will travel.
I'm aware that the majority of posters in here are stateside, so will keep checking back in case a local boy or girl stumbles across this post.
Finally, i used this forum a year ago to work out a better shotgun than my MKE300 (which the admission of owning caused much merriment) and was pointed in the direction of the MKH416.... THANK YOU!!!!!! (and i got one second hand to boot).
Many thanks, and apologies for the really rather long winded way of asking if anyone knows a good audio shop in London... i'm a talker, and i spend a lot of time working on my own
