I've had this problem for a while. OK. Sometimes, not all the time, when I open up AVI files in windows media player I get a static noise that blast though the speakers. And when I'm capturing video in Pro. Sometimes it interferes with the capture dropping frames like crazy. I the static noise sometimes is a pop noise or static noise.
