the dvx is on the way! actually my friend bought it..but we are gonna work together with it.

My question is what is the best boom mic set up for under $200.00?

question 2: when i watch dvds with the extras, why is the deleted scene footage always have bad audio. like it cuts in and out with background noise and just the room sound. how do they get rid of that? what is the deal?

thanks

Poke around the audio thread here for mics and opinions in that price range. You will also read why to avoid going cheap on the mic and why one mic will not fullfill all your audio needs. (try a search "cheap" "mic")

Those DVD extras are a result of being pulled directly from the roughcut before any audio work has been done on it. You can hear audio at all sorts of levels of complition on DVD extras. You will also notice that often the video has not been color corrected either.
