Hello,

Ok, quick and probably stupid question. How do I set the time line to only play out one channel of audio through both sides. Example: How do I set my captured audio 1 to play out through both audio one and two on the time line?

thanks

No...

PAN... in the VIEWER.

But based on the pic you just sent... WHY???

Can you say why? You have a stereo pair already. Was this not the clip? DBL click the clip you want to send it to the viewer.

Good luck,

I didn't explain myself correctly. If i want to make the audio in "A1" play in both A1 and A2 how do i do it? The audio on my camera was set to channel 1 xlr input (wireless mic) and channel 2 on camera mic. I want to get rid of the channel 2 and just use channel 1 on both A1 an A2. How do I do that? thanks

P.s. and no, it wont let me delete whats on A2 and copy over A1. Dont know why....

P.s.s Ignore A3 and A4

First, don't capture audio as a stereo pair unless the audio was recorded in stereo (like if you are recording a band playing and getting a stereo feed from their mixer). Now, select the audio tracks in the timeline and hit option+L (which toggles Stereo Pair on/off). Delete the audio on A2 and pan the audio on A1 to center (you'll probably need to boost the gain on A1 a bit as well). Finally, lots of people spent lots of making a very comprehensive manual so feel free to reap the rewards of their hard work. Yes, I know it's 'not cool' to say read the f'ing manual, but this is some seriously remedial stuff you are asking.

Yes, search the manual for working with audio. There's a big section that explains all this stuff.
