Audio question with hvx in vegas

Hi, I have this problem: I film with the hvx and when I import the media into vegas I only get one audio track instead of four. So, how do you get those 4 audio tracks in separate tracks in the vegas timeline?

Have you tried right clicking on the audio event once it is on the timeline and choosing which channel you want the audio event to contain? I know for stereo, you can choose either the left or the right channel. Not sure about 4 channels.

What I found is you have to manually add each track by dragging them individually from the source folder. IIRC, The new version of Raylight is supposed to handle it better. Vegas is not designed to be HVX friendly.

You'll get two audio tracks, but they're a single stereo track instead of two mono tracks. To separate them, duplicate the track, and then right-click on the audio and choose "Channels>Left only" and "Channels>Right only."

These represent channel 1 and channel 2 of the HVX audio. To get channels 3 and 4, drop the P2 Audio folder into Raymaker. This will create mono .wav files for each audio channel. Then, you can drag the .wavs to your timeline.

(Channels 3 and 4 will have filenames that end in "02" and "03" -- xxxxxx02.wav, xxxxxx03.wav.)
