audio problems

so i started a skateboarding montage and i put in a song to go with the video and when i play it back all that plays back is the clicking.
how do i fix it?
any help please?

mismatched format... My guess is you are trying to use an MP3??

Make it an AIF 48k 16bit.

Is there a good explanation for why AIFF is the only acceptable format for FC? It's the largest file size and an even larger pain in the butt.

If you want crappy audio that won't pass broadcast standards use iMovie.

You can also use .wav files with good success, however I still use QTPro to convert them to .aif.

Quick Time Pro, or any other audio editing format.

Audacity is free.
