Audio Problem

Aside from all my random problems I've been having lately, this one has just came up and it's quite common...

I think it's the system, or the version of AE and my system not meeting.

When I try to do a RAM Preview in AE 7.0 Pro, I get this message the majoirty of the times:

My audio settings have always been the same and audio has always worked, however, recently it hasn't.

So my whole timeline is out of sync. I leave it the way it is, export, and it's fine? But when I try to sync audio in my timeline, and it's synced, and then I export, it's the opposite and not synced. So basically, in order to get what I want, I have to work with it out of sync in AE, and then export it like normal (as an alpha channel) and then it works?

Could this method screw anything up?

Robbie, do yourself a favor and leave audio out of AE entirely. With very few exceptions, time remapping being one, audio + AE = headache. I know you CAN work with audio, but it has always been much more of a pain than it's worth.

Leave audio to something like Vegas, where you can right click on any audio file (or selection) in the timeline, send a copy to Sound Forge, and work on it there.

Are the files you are working with using any kind of compressed audio? That has had issues for years.
 
Yeah, I dropped in an old video clip JUST so I can use it's audio.

It's such a pain though, working this way. In FCP when I edit, I'd like to have all the audio in that layer, instead of adding more audio to the tracks, and then copying and pasting this whole section in to new projects.

(I'm doing a fishing show, so there's 19 shows. I have to copy and paste each pop I make for the next show and the next show and so on.)

Just go change your preferences for audio hardware to System Default. I've had this problem for weeks now, it's really strange, but I haven't got a chance to look into. Once you change back to the system default it should be fine.
