audio popping while exporting to tape

hi! I just finished editing a music video using premiere pro and when i exported to tape there seems to be some "audio pop" on some parts of the edited material. At first i thought its just clipping audio and tried to bring down the audio level a bit to correct the problem but still the "popping" is still there. I even closely checked the audio levels using the audio monitor to see if there is still some clipping but only to find that there's no clipping in the parts where the "popping" appears. But when i export as dv avi, there is no "popping" in the audio. It seems that the "popping" only appears when trying to preview from the timeline and when exporting to tape. Can somebody please tell me what seems to be problem?Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks in advance and Happy New Year to all dvxuser members....

Are you using music from a CD? If yes, did you convert the audio's sample rate so that it match your project settings in Premiere Pro?

Mixing 44.1Khz audio in a 48Khz project can be the reason. It happened to me when i used 32Khz audio in a 48Khz project. So, always use 48Khz audio in a 48Khz project for best results. (Or 32Khz audio in a 32Khz project)

If the sample rates match each other, try to limit the audio so that it never goes above -6dB. Limit the audio to -6dB is always a good thing to do to avoid popping. :)

Thanks Averdahl.....I'll try those advices and will post some results...I think your advice regarding sample rates is the most probable solution....Thanks and more power!!:smiley_do

Not to challenge experience (I know a lot of crazy things work when they shouldn't), but in theory the sample rate thing shouldn't be a problem. As far as I know, that's what Premiere is doing when you see "Conforming file.avi..." in the bottom right corner, it's converting sample rates, right?
