Audio out of sync

I am not sure what I did but I am in the middle of editing a project and I noticed a section where the audio is out of sync. The problem is that the audio clips are stereo pairs and somehow the audio on one track is fine and in sync. The other track that makes up the stereo pair somehow slid back some to make it out of sync with the track above it creating an echo. When I tried to push the track back into place, the track above begins to move. I made sure LINKING was off and SNAPPING off and it won't allow me to push that one track back into place.

I am hoping there is an easy fix to this as I don't want to have to re edit that section of my project.

I have since fixed the problem but how do you turn off the stereo pair? I was trying to do that and it wouldn't allow me to do it. What would make one track of a stereo pair go out of sync like that? You'd thnk that If the track got srewed up it would affect both tracks throwing all the audio out of sync. But for me only one of the stereo pairs was out of sync. I have since locked every single track until I need to make adjustments then I will unlock them and hopefully that will prevent it from happening again!

I'm wondering if by chance you had one of the audio tracks locked, then accidentally moved the other one? If that was the case, there should have been some indication that the audio tracks are now out of sync. Did you see such signs?

Make sure both audio clips are selected the press <option>+L. You've probably already done that, and if so, please disregard this post.:)

<option>+L toggles stereo clip on and off.

A simple and over looked solution is when capturing, let the tape run for about 5 seconds before hitting "capture now" and that should solve it. It worked for me.
