Ok I can't figure this out. My audio and video are in synch in the preview window. But once I place a clip on the timeline they aren't. Not even close.
Could someone please offer suggestions as to why it isn't working, and options for me to correct it?
Here's what I'm doing. I shot a music video, my first music video for a paying client in fact, in 30P. I captured it onto a 30fps timline. I'm thinking maybe that's my error? ? ? ? ? ? ?

there's a lot of footage and I didn't notice that every clip's audio wasn't in synch until after I captured all three tapes...... So I'd like to NOT have to recapture them. So i ask this........If the problem is becuase of how I shot it (30p) vs how I captured it (30fsp) is there an easy mathamatical way to figure how much the audio is actually off by? Then use that to just slip or slide my audio by X amount, to re-synch the video/audio. Or would it be easier to just recapture the whole thing?
If it's easier to recatpure it....then what setting in FCP should I use to capture the 30P footage that I shot.
I know I've got a lot of questions... I'm leaning on you guys to help me out here. I should have had this issue figured out before I started shooting but I'll learn from this that's for sure.......Thanks a million guys.
****Side note**** if there's a thread that covers this sorry for not searching for it. The search tool on this site has changed since the last time I used it and it's not nearly as user friendly as before. if you know a thread please direct me and I'll check it out.......
