Audio issues with Vegas and DVD Arch

After I've rendered my MPEG and .wav file and render it through DVD Architect, the DVD seems to want to stabilize the audio. What happens is that the sound effects that are supposed to be louder are brought down to a lower level. I also shoot music videos, and I've noticed that the music .wav track does the same thing.

Is there a setting in either Vegas or DVD Architect that forces the audio to stay at a constant level? I haven't had this problem in the past, but I'm thinking I may have accidentally set something in the Preferences that makes this happen.

Any ideas?

Not sure this will help but if you are using DVDA, you should be rendering your audio files as ac3 out of Vegas. Give it a try and see if it helps.

I think the problem is that it's normalizing the peak levels. When I render it to a .wmv file, it's fine. It's only after it's been rendered through DVD Architect that I have the issues with the audio stabilizing.
