Forgive me...I posted thid in the Audio forum as well but someone must have farted in there or something as it's real quiet and I need this advice asap because I only have a small window of time to get this in the bag. A client brought me a dvd of a wedding performed in Hawaii on a beach with only the groom wearing a lapel mic. There is not a lot of vocal presence on the tape as it is and it also had to be the windiest day on record for that beach. Client wanted me to remove the wind so the vows could be heard, I told him I could subdue the wind noise but that removal was not possible in my estimation. I used Adobe Audition running a high pass filter and then used a general vocal enhancement filter but of course I'm now missing some of the low end frequencies of the voices. Can you guys think of anymore tricks I might try to get more low end back into the vocals without reintroducing the wind rumble? Any help would be apreciated...Thanks

PS...What would you guys charge for this service, the part I have to fix is 15 minutes long...Thanks

ADR it!

Seriously though, I once shot a scene in someone's backyard that happened to be right up against the highway where cars were whizzing by at 70mph. I had no choice but to carry on, and there was a LOT of dialogue. That's when I discovered this:

It saved me -- got rid of EVERY bit of offending noise. Maybe it will help you? Wind in the mic is a different beast -- but it might salvage enough to make it acceptable.

Thanks Owen...I offered that as an option to the client after first review of the footage though I let him no it was the more expensive option but it is on the table. He is human and as such very in touch with his wallet and would prefer to see what magic can be weilded from filters first.
