I'm having a strange problem with audio after rendering.
I have a feature length film.
I'm having to render the sound differently to keep some portions of the movie loud. I'm using a method I learned here from a post from Dave Jimerson:
In the Render As dialog, choose Dolby Digital AC-3 from the Save as Type drop-down list.
Click the Custom button. The Custom Template dialog is displayed.
Select the Preprocessing tab.
From the Line mode profile drop-down list, choose None.
From the RF mode profile drop-down list, choose None.
Click OK to close the Custom Template dialog.
Click Save to render your file
That's what I'm having to do to keep portions of the movie loud. Without this method key portions are just too quiet and lose all it's effect.
Anyhow, this has been working fine, except in a few parts of the movie, the sound gets quiet and then fades in to the level it is supposed to be at, after about 10 seconds or so. At first I thought I had inadvertently faded those portions in, but upon further review, that's not the case.
I tried rendering the audio without using this method and that corrected the fade issue, but brought me back to the original problem of everything being too quiet.
Seems to be something about this special custom render that is affecting these few parts of the movie.
I edit with Vegas pro 8 and am using DVD Architect.
Any ideas?
