I went mindv firewire out from the DVX 100A ( I know this is wrong can't afford a cheap mini DV deck) and I had about 53 minutes of footage that I used the capture now settings and the end of the footage I pressed escape because there was no more footage and I got the timecode break warning at the end. Could this be the cause of the problem? I mean the only timecode break was at the end where there was no footage. Would this cause the footage to be out of sync. I just thought it would be better just to capture all of the footage at once since I don't have a deck. So if you capture over 30 mins at once there is audio sync problems? Thanks for the help.Scottdvx100 said:Is the audio going out the same source? (i.e. Firewire to video for print to tape)
If audio goes to one device (computer) and video to another then they will be out of synbc.
If you shot with DVX100 (not 100a) then you're out of sync by 2 frames. Use the plugin that came with FCP to offset the sync.
If you captured a long section (30+ minutes) then you may have sync issues.
