Audio in Vegas 9

I tried to find a thread for this, but wasn't able to. Anyway, does anyone know how I can edit and hear what I'm editing. I really like to edit to music, and so far you can only hear it when you play it in real time and not when editing. Very frustrating to me. Thanks

When I move frame by frame on the timeline I have no sound.... Sometimes I like to make cuts to the beats in music, or when someone speaks... But the only time I can hear the audio is when I just play it in real time.

You can't play sound frame by frame, no (well, except by selecting a 1 frame section and playing it, but i don't think that's what you want). But if you maximise the audio track height and zoom in to display as much waveform info as possible on the section you're fiddling with, it's usually fairly easy to see and hear frame by frame what's happening.

Not sure if it's what you're looking for, but if you drag the arrow that's above the blinking/current position cursor, it'll scrub with sound.
