I have a rebel T2i and want to shoot a Tango documentary in Buenos Aires Argentina. Can anyone help me with frequency issues? I left a message with Sennhieser and am thinking about getting a G3 wireless.

Argentina

I did a shoot in Argentina a couple of years ago.
I was on block 21 with my Lectrosonics.
I was staying on an upper floor of the Park Tower hotel in Buenos Aires and when I woke up the first morning there I started getting my equipment ready for the shoot that day.
I turned on my Lectros and started to scan the frequencies only to see a solid top to bottom and side to side wall of unusable frequencies. Needles to say I got real worried since the shoot was heavily dependent on using radio mics. Then I opened the curtains and at least three of the tall buildings around me had TV antennas on their roofs. Once I was away from the hotel everything was fine.
So to make a long story short, block 21 was ok around most areas of Buenos Aires and areas outside of town. It's a great town.

Have a great trip,
John

Thanks for your reply. I'm a Tango dancer first with aspirations of becoming a Tango videographer. For me Buenos Aires is paradise, this will be my third annual 15 week vacation. I went to film school for a year and worked at a TV production company for 6 years, but that was in the 80s , so I'm more than a little rusty. It's going to be an adventure.
Fair thee well,
Patricio
