Hi all.
I haven't found anything even remotely similar to this anywhere.
I've been using a fs-4 pro version 2.0 with a dvx shooting either 24 or 24a and importing into FCP 6.02.
When I record with the QT settings (QT and QT24) I'm getting an audio frame loss of one or two frames when the files split. If I'm manually splitting the files it's 1 frame, if the file splits automatically it's two frames. The missing frame, or frames are the last 1 or 2 frames of the ending file not the beginning of the new one.
The frame loss appears to be happening only in the NLE as I've played the files back through the camera from the FS and there is no audio loss.
I've tried as many FCP set-ups as I can think of and no luck - even put them into imovie and it's still loosing audio on the file break.
This only happens with the QT settings (and the AVI), not the DV.
Using media manager to copy the files (to get rid of the "files not optimized for FCP") doesn't work either.
ideas?
thanks.
an example can be found here - not that watching an example of this really helps in any way.
