Audio doesn't play after export...???

I am trying to export a 4 min video clip and attached to it is the mp3 audio/song. Video plays fine after export but the sound / music is just a high pitch noise. I am a FCP user that switched to PP CS5 and don't know if I am overlooking a setting or something, I mean it is pretty straight forward. Any ideas, help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you saying the MP3 is your source in the sequence, or is the format you're using for export?

Hi Jim, well all I did was import the mp3 on my sequence and it plays fine on the editing screen along with the video clip, and when I export the entire sequence the mp3 gets converted to ACC automatically. I am really enjoying PP compared to FCP I am saving so much time but little things like this can get annoying sometimes.

Ann I did try that and nothing happened, converted to wav and got the same results. I did however find the solution and that was to open a fresh new sequence and import the old one in. What I was doing initially was creating a folder to organize the files that PP was saving on my desktop, and every time I reopened the project PP had trouble finding them and asked me to find each file individually which is bizzarre by the way, well compared to FCP. However I am not really happy with the quality of the exported file, used the highest setting from Max render to VR2 cranked all the way up the bit rate slider to max of 50, and obv the highest HDTV 1080p 24 and it takes about 3 hours to encode the 4 min clip. My original file was AVCHD 1080p 24 shot with a Panasonic GH2.
