my audio conforming seems to take a very long time on a very fast computer using pro 1.5. On another computer I edited on previously running 1.5 i never even saw the conforming dialouge. is there a way to shut it off so i can get to editing quickly like in 6.5?
There's no way to turn it off. A lot of people don't like it. Apparently Adobe feels there's an upside to audio conforming so there's a method to their madness.
If you capture/import relatively short clips you'll hardly see this "feature" in action. However, really long clips (or entire tapes) can take some time.
