Audio And Video Out Of Sync

Yesterday I shot a news report on my DVX100b in 24p advanced. This morning when I imported the footage into FCP 6, the video starts out of sync about 5 seconds apart and ends about 7 minutes apart at the end of the 50 min capture. The first shot is the reporter talking, and the audio of her talking starts before she actually starts talking on camera, but once she is done talking on camera, the audio is still going for another 2 to 3 seconds.

I made sure I had the right capture settings: DV NTSC 48 kHz Advanced (2:3:3:2) Pulldown Removal. Also, it is playing like this in the bin, not just the sequence. When I was capturing the footage, the video on the camera and the video on the capture screen was in sync the whole time as well. The first 2 times trying to capture, I had it set to device control for my capture camera, but the third time, I set it to non-controllable device, thinking that there was a timecode error, but that time it was more out of sync than it was the first two times which were only off by 1 or 2 seconds gradually increasing.

Is there something wrong I did? Normally I capture just like this when I shoot 24pA and it turns out just fine. HELP!!!

Do you play back audio through the firewire or a pci audio card? If so, try changing your playback settings to only the computer and see if it helps.

Are you using the "advanced pulldown removal" capture preset? If not, make sure frame rate is set to 29.97, not 23.98.

I am playing it through firewire, and yes I did use the advanced pulldown removal. But it is out of sync in the bin too, not just the sequence.

I really need to know by 3 pst. What are the FCP settings because the movie file in the capture scratch in in sync but I can't just put it in iMovie because it is in 24p.
