ATTN: Phishing Emails and Private Messages

There has been a recent influx of phishing attempts. A user will private message or email you and ask you to click a link. The link usually has dvxuser in the url. Don't click it. Report it immediately.

This is a phishing attempt to get your login info for dvxuser.

Please be careful about clicking unsolocited links from anyone... especially new members. Please report any messages as soon as possible.

What does it ask for when you click it, or is it just grabbing the dvxuser.com cookies to get any info present?

If it's a simple web form, I used to set up an automated process to fill the fields with randomized junk and let it go for tens of thousands of replies. If the server was known for phishing users, I might let those put requests happen as fast as the proxies were able to handle the exchanges in a DoS like fashion. :grin:

From what I've seen, it is just a "look-a-like" phishing attempt... made to look like dvxuser (or reduser) login page to try to bait you into entering your login credentials, thinking you are logging onto dvxuser... which they will then use to hijack your actual account, of course.

I haven't actually clicked any of the links myself, but I have seen screen grabs of the resulting page... In that case, it appeared to just be a spoof of the reduser login page.
