I just purchased a "used" dvx100a from B & H in New York.

B & H said the cams were brand new but no rebate is available...

I wondered why this was, but whatever...I cant get the rebate anyway cause im in Canada. So I took the gamble on what i thought was a US camera..I figured if I need warranty work ill ship it to the states... the price was about 1000 cheaper ($2795 US) than my local dealer.

5 days later I received my dvx100a in perfect condition...low and behold with a Canadian Warranty...

awesome!

not only do i get it $1000 cheaper than my local dealer i get the full panasonic Canadian warranty aswell....

search "dvx100" in the used section on the B&H website

now i dont know if every "used" cam is canadian....but mine was...

canada is a mysterious country. Nobody here in the states even talks about it. I wanna see canada. Is it true that you guys don't lock your doors? Like michael moore said in bowling for columbine?

yeah i heard in canada there is just one giant door that connects to every home in the country ...and amazingly its never locked....but of course its guarded by sled dogs

go figure...

Ive been there...scary place...dont mess with people that have winter 10 months of the year...

lol we don't have winter 10 months of the year. Toronto is like a "mini" New York, style wise and climate wise, why do you think we're the 3rd largest filmmaking centre in north america? now some parts of canada close to the north pole... i can't speak for them.

straecat you lucked out man, i bet you all of B&H's used dvx100as don't even have a canadian warrenty.

Canada is pretty much the same as the states, except we have colored money, can walk into a hospital get major surgery and never see a bill.... I mean, how can you think it would really be very different we watch the same show's , listen to the same music and eat the same food (SAME) . As for Micheal moore and his doors never locked theory, I think it's like anywhere if you hit the suburbs there's going to be people who might not lock the door. But where I live there were 3 murder's over the weekend alone, One being a drug dealer yanked out of his car and stabbed to death about a mile down the road. so Yeah ( I lock my door )

However Car's are free there's no key's or anything you just get in and drive the closest one you find and leave it with a full tank of gas for the next person...

Sorry John...we sold the ocean to some guy in long beach Ca. And the moutains are being shipped to Wyoming!
