there are few weeks that iam testing prototype for 21 cm and 31 cm long
complete windshield and suspention for short microphones .
the product was design and developed for dv filmmakers on budget , people
who looking for good solution for reasonable price and cant be robbed by companies which mainly dealing people like me ( professional soundman) these who buy rode or octava and dont want pay twice able working outside .
the benefit over the existing one which is ruling the market , the whale mic sits inside so no wind bumps over the body , cheaper , not problematic for the length of any microphone .
the 21 will be good for octava and similar microphones up to 14 cm
and the 31 is for rode ntg-1 /schoeps cut 1 and neuman 81, sanken cs-1 with short xlrr plug .
both the models have 4 point adjustable suspention so you can place the microphones as close as possible to the front .
you will be able place octava and similar inside 31 cm as well with mic in front of the zeppelin without loosing distance .
both models have detachable front and rear caps so if you crash them it is not pain to replace them for reasonable sum .
both zeppelins would come with reasonable fur and maybe velvet sock if we would find some good material for that purpose ,
the price would be around 220-230 us for each or about 400 if you buy 2 at ones( no matter the size) .
the suspensions and the windshield works well and do the job ,at least for me and as you know it is very hard to please me .
they where checked with my schoepses ,mbho and octavas as well with other mics in my arsenal andhave found more then satisfied to work directly entrails without foam inside with small degradation in sound - much less then usually happens with solid foam .
for moderate wind inside foam and the windshield worked good as well .
- the final product test would continue for another 2 -3 weeks , then we decide if it worth the effort .

and less if we will finally start our microphone line then mic with phantom and brake out with excellent characteristics ( very close to sanken ) would be around 260 incl shipping ( 210 without power supply) , the less pricy one which is used by one of the major wireless makers would be around 150 us incl the power supply and brake out out for your kind of wierless .
i talk to the guys who bring the octava killer here and they see positively bring the microphones with 2 capsules only card and hyper with 185-190us price tag (no box , leader pouch only ) so if there would be enough interest in this product it will happen.- right now the only complete sets available 3 capsules for 225 us.
