Ha, Ha, Ha.... well, for $500.00, you do get what you pay for.
The guy accepted the job. He should have at least been there to do it, or left an employee to cover for him.Exactly....although if the guy really did leave to film another wedding I do feel for the couple, but at the price they were paying they should have known what they were getting into.
At least this guy was getting the shots...
Yes, but he shouldn't have accepted the job if he couldn't be there for whole ceremony and events. If the price was too low that he couldn't afford to spend the whole day there, then he should have explained that to the couple and given them a price that he could afford to accept. If he received a better offer for the second wedding, then he should have stuck to his prior commitment, or he should have found somebody to take over the first wedding for him.$500 is about 1/2 to 1/4 what most experienced wedding videographers are paid, at least for a shoot and edit job.

I don't think anyone is excusing his absence or the way he handled it......what we are saying is that the couple should have known they were getting themselves into a potentially bad situation when they shopped around and found all these people charging $2000 and then went with him at $500.....that says something right there in itself.
