Attaching polarizer filter to the DVX? HELP!

I just got my Tiffen 72mm Polarizer filter for my DVX. I am trying to attach it to my camera but because part of the lens rotates when I try to screw it in I'm having problems attaching it to the DVX. What do you guys do? Any tips are recommended.

Also, when you use a PL filter, do you normally just leave it on at all times? I figure once I get mine on I really don't have a reason to take it off.

Any tips are appreciated.

Just wrap your fingers around the edges to make sure the thing won't spin.

I only use the polo to cut reflections or darken the sky. Sometimes I leave it on to help keep the colors rich, but you can get the same effect by boosting the chroma in post.

I figured it out. I have to take off that front little hood on it. Oh the wonders of this camera never cease to amaze me.

Yeah, it seems to add a little chroma and change the contrast a small amount. I like it, as thats what I usually do in post.
