Is there anyone on these boards who is an experienced DP and lives in the Atlanta area. Do you live in Ga? If yes, what city.

i live in philly but travel to Atlanta/Buckhead during the week. I'm there 4 days a week and can be available over the weekend if you want to work together.
I am new to cinematography as my primary skills are in writing/directing. I have my own camera... and have the knowledge to assist in a project.
Let me know if you're interested.

Thanks for your reply, givemefood, but I am afraid that the complications of working together (the distance) would be too great.

I am in Nashville and have had about3 years experience directing for narrative on video, and 4 years in theater. I also have 6 years experience with camera operation 2 of those years on the DVX. I Conceptualized, directed, and DP the music video "Dey Gone like Dis one" for Maal the pimp featuring Nappy Roots. As well as a short that I wrote and directed last year, and currently have a project that I directed and helped write under way, but did not DP it.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish with the project your are about to work on?

Hi,

I live in Atlanta. I've been shooting for 15 years, mostly video: three features, a number of shorts, five music videos on film, 3 of them 35mm... and I own a 100a, Avid Express Pro...

Thanks for everyones reply.  Basically I am new to "directing", but not new to film theory.  I read "theory" books constantly and write scripts.  I am basically looking for other people who might want to collaborate on some short films.  I do not own a camera, but am planning on renting a panasonic when it is time to shoot.  If you would be interested in working on something, own a camera, and have free time, then email me at brandar@excite.com.

Just starting out... but interested in creating Action or Horror movies with a twisted sense of humour.

Influences: Tarantino, Raimi, Robert Rodriguez, Kevin Smith...

DVX100a, Adobe Collection 1.5, basic lighting... and still spending!!

Shooting my first short this weekend to be posted....

I got the time, energy and patience to make movies.... let me know if interested.

I'm in Savannah. I go to film school at SCAD. I was a combat camerman in the Air Force for 4 years before school. I own a DVX100A/Avid Xpress Pro HD/Mics/lighting. We shoot films all the time down here to learn and we're starting to shoot bigger features.

I live in the Atlanta, GA area and will be shooting a feature this March and April. I own the DVX100A. If anyone is interested in helping out email me.

Besides the DVX I have Final Cut Pro and After Effects and I'm willing to trade services. If someone is willing to help out on my feature I could DP a project for them or edit their project.

One thing I really need is a good audio production person and a still photographer.
